Welcome to my Web site!

Originally from Philadelphia, I moved to Arizona in 2001 to escape the traffic and cold weather. I lived in Tucson for two years, then moved to northern Arizona, where I briefly owned and managed a pizza and sandwich shop in Prescott Valley. Currently living in Brooksville, Florida to be closer to my aging mom.

After 17 years in the banking equipment industry, I moved to Information Systems in 1997, earning the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification in 1998, a CCNA and a Masters in Applied Technology in 2000, and the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) in Windows 2K in 2002. I worked a number of part-time and full-time entry-level jobs, which are detailed in my on-line resume.

In August of 2000 I accepted an offer from Dr. Phillip Laplante to become Coordinator of the Software and Information Technology program at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. Here I served as assistant dean, coordinating the scheduling of teachers and classes, interviewing prospective students, and designing and delivering classes in Windows NT4, Windows 2000, and data communications.

In 2001 I relocated to Arizona and became Director of the Networking and Database Administration (NDA) program at the Tucson campus of Apollo College. There I supervised one part-time (adjunct) and four full-time instructors, as well as reviewed and modified the NDA curriculum to promote increased student retention and graduation rates. Ultimately the program was discontinued, primarily to free classrooms for their more popular medical education programs.

In 2002 I went to work with a subcontractor to Boeing, certifying baggage screeners for the TSA as part of the Homeland Security project. I have passed numerous state (Arizona, Pennsylvania) and federal (FBI) background checks.

I became a District Technology Tech for the Mayer Unified School District in 2004, and their Director of Technology in 2007.

I was an independent technical and marketing consultant for Tazsport.com for two years, redesigning this ecommerce start-up's marketing focus and web site design, and increasing membership 1000% in the six-month period from January-June 2006. I also developed a Flash movie to promote Tazsport.

Just completed a 1-year I.T. stint with a contractor to the U.S. Army's Space & Missile Defense Command on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. I'm currently living in Florida, repairing computers by day and rocking on the weekends!
